‘Bad Newz’ released today in theatres across the country. The dramedy is a sequel to the 2019 hit, ‘Good Newwz’ starring Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh.

Directed by Anand Tiwari, as per counting portals, the film has sold over 50k tickets for around 6500 shows in pre-bookings for its opening day on Friday, July 19 – bringing its pre-release earning to more than Rs 1 cr. Looking at these numbers, critics expect the film to do well at the box office.
‘Bad Newz’ is a dramedy that explores the intricacies of fatherhood and relationships on the backdrop of humour, chaos and lots of chemistry. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimrii, the mayhem of unexpected fatherhood is touched upon with an absurd comedic style and perfectly balanced sentimentality.
The film is co-produced by Anant Tiwari, with Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Amritpal Singh Bendra. The script is attributed to Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja.
