Beyoncé Donates $10,000 To Save London-Based Nigerian Restaurant

Beyoncé has donated $10,000 to ‘Chuku’s’ – world’s first Nigerian tapas restaurant as a part of her initiative to fund black owned small businesses through her charitable foundation BeyGOOD.

Despite earning many five-star reviews since it opened its doors in early 2020, Chuku’s has weathered numerous challenges like the COVID-19 lockdowns and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

“I still can’t quite believe that Beyoncé has backed our restaurant—it feels a bit surreal,” says Ifeyinwa, the co-owner of Chuku’s. “We’d already felt her impact when she was in town and concertgoers chose Chuku’s for their pre-gig meal, but this is a whole other level! “
