Family, friends and colleagues came together to celebrate the life of media legend Nari Hira.
Mr Nari Hira will always be remembered as an icon, a legend and nothing short of a genius in the media realm. But he was also a parent, friend, mentor and so much more… His passing left its mark on those left behind but not as much as the life he lived, and what an extraordinary one it was.
To honour and celebrate his life, Vikram, Proneeta and Aryan Hira hosted a heartfelt evening at The Bombay Club – a gorgeous venue at the Mahalaxmi Race Course, Mumbai, run by Kiran Salaskar and Sandali Sinha Salaskar. Family, friends and colleagues came out, as did Team Magna, both old and new, who turned out in full force to show their love for their beloved boss. Stories and fond memories were exchanged as people spoke of his kindness, generosity, charm and brilliance, clinking their cups to the man who enriched their lives in so many different ways – all to the soundtrack of some of his favourite tunes.
The turnout included former editors of the publishing house’s various magazines, including Shobhaa De, Bharathi Pradhan, Sunanda Mehta, and Priyanka Sinha Jha. Several media personalities also dropped in, including Poonam Dhillon, Gulshan Grover, Zainab Ramesh Chauhan, Farzana Contractor, Raell Padamsee, Zarina Wahab, Aditya Pancholi, Manish Goel, Poonam Soni and Malavika Sanghvi among others.
Nari Hira made a profound impact on the people he met and his legacy will continue to live on.
