Four Children Aged 1 to 13 Survive 40 Days In The Amazon Forest

When the plane they were traveling in crashed and glided over trees, the three adults in the plane, the pilot, their mom and a relative died on impact.

13-year-old Lesly realized that she and her three little siblings were the only ones to survive a plane crash in the middle of the Colombian jungle.

The Colombian military was deployed into the forest to search for the children. They found bitten fruits, diapers and footprints indicating they were alive.

After 40 days in the jungle, the military and indigenous search teams found the four. They were malnourished and tired, but their lives were not in danger.
