India is making a historic leap towards the moon, aiming to become the fourth country ever to execute a controlled landing on its surface!
The Chandrayaan-3 mission took off triumphantly from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, earlier today.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) confirmed via Twitter that Chandrayaan-3 is now in a “precise orbit” and has commenced its epic voyage towards the moon. The spacecraft is reported to be in excellent health.
The anticipated landing on the lunar surface is scheduled for August 23.
India aims to join the exclusive group of nations that have accomplished the intricate feat of soft-landing a spacecraft on the moon’s surface. Currently, only the United States, Russia, and China have achieved this extraordinary milestone!
