“I’m very quick to say that my twins were conceived via IVF because that’s how we’ll normalise it, right? Nobody should feel isolated or ashamed.” That’s Isha Ambani Piramal, business leader and daughter of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, who welcomed twins Aadiyashakti and Krishna, with husband Anand Piramal in 2022, hoping that talking about it openly will make it less of a taboo.
The 1991-born heiress has been visibly coming into her own, as a business leader and also a style maven. Part of the executive leadership teams as a member of the board at Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, Jio Financial Services Limited, Reliance Foundation, Reliance Foundation Institution of Education and Research, and Dhirubhai Ambani International School, she is personally driving the expansion of Reliance Retail and is focused on enhancing the overall customer experience.

Finding Her Own Footing
Leading the expansion of the digital footprint for Reliance Retail as well as its own brand portfolio, she has helped launch new formats such as the e-commerce business Ajio, and the omni-channel beauty platform Tira.
To her credit, she has also spearheaded multiple diversity & inclusion (D&I) initiatives at Reliance including the formation of a group-wide D&I Council to provide strategic guidance and a clear roadmap to foster a more equitable and inclusive ecosystem for all.
Actively involved in the work done by the Reliance Foundation, she leads all its art and culture initiatives. She is integrally involved with the launch and operations of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, launched in Mumbai in March 2023. Passionate about education, she anchors RF’s work with children and women.

Rising Star
A double major in Psychology and South Asian Studies from Yale University, as well as an MBA from Stanford University, she was named in ‘TIME’ magazine’s TIME100 Next list of rising stars from across industries around the world and recognised with the prestigious GenNext Entrepreneur Award at the Forbes India Leadership Awards 2023. She also serves on the advisory board of the Yale Schwarzman Center, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, Jio MAMI, and the Dia Art Foundation.
…All of which proves the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree.
