They created the backpack which incorporated traditional rules of basket weaving from the Egyptians. Thus, the stunning reed fiber woven basket backpack strapped in a sand coloured rubber belt was a common accessory used at the show.

Kim Jones says, “It’s that fascination with the ancient world and the parallels with what we look at today; what we inherited from them and what we are still learning from the past.”

The Fall collection essentially was a fusion of traditional embroidery and draping techniques with a more technical construct. Jones says, “In this living history, always in flux, movement, ease and fluidity are key.”
