The Italian luxury brand, Gucci stunned its audience by making them see double at Milan Fashion Week. 68 pairs of identical twins walked the ramp wearing identical pieces of clothing. Creative Director Aalessandro Michele was inspired by his mother Eralda, and her twin, his aunt Giulianand.
Michele reportedly shares an appreciation for theatre and tries to be as creative as possible when it comes to his shows. The show was called ‘Gucci Twinsburg’.
The brand cast twins with the help of a secret scouting party which they sent to a twins convention in Twins burg, Ohio called Twins Day.
The show began with single models walking down the runway… soon after a screen was lifted, unveiling their twins walking alongside them in the same outfits. The Creative Director says the idea behind the show was to showcase the fact that even if identical twins wear the same outfit, the personalities exuded by them are still different and therefore amplify different parts of the same outfit entirely.
