The ‘Only Murders In The Building’ star Selena Gomez recently announced that she would be talking a break from all her social platforms on a Tik-Tok live.
She said, “I’m going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. I’m 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I’ll see you guys sooner than later,” she said. “I’m just gonna take a break from everything.”
In pervious interviews, the actress and singer has time and again spoken of the negative influence social media has on her. She told ‘Vanity Fair’, “People can call me ugly or stupid and I’m like, whatever. But these people get detailed. They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety… I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of my time.”
Therefore, after surpassing Kylie Jenner and becoming the most followed woman on Instagram, Gomez has sadly, once again, taken a break.
