Ranveer Singh steps into big shoes as he is set to play ‘Don’ in the third film of the franchise. A captivating new teaser introduces Ranveer to the franchise and its devoted fans.
The teaser commences with Ranveer seated in a high-rise building, his back to the camera. He exudes an air of mystery, clad in a leather jacket and boots, casually smoking a cigarette. Then, he turns to face the camera, confidently introducing himself as Don.
Originally created by the legendary duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, “Don” (1978), directed by Chandra Barot, featured Amitabh Bachchan in dual roles and emerged as one of the year’s biggest blockbusters. Shah Rukh Khan played Don in the second movie.
Now, Akhtar has breathed new life into the franchise by casting Singh as the lead, accompanied by the tagline “A New Era Begins.” Ritesh Sidhwani and Akhtar will produce the film under their esteemed banner, Excel Entertainment, with Akhtar himself taking the director’s chair.
