NMACC brings Fashion!

‘India in Fashion’ is a groundbreaking exhibition at the just launched Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) at BKC in Mumbai, that delves into the influence of Indian craftsmanship on the global fashion scene since the 18th century.

India’s fashion and textile traditions have inspired royal courts, haute couture, contemporary design visionaries, and even fast fashion globally.

Curated by Hamish Bowles, global editor-at-large for ‘Vogue’, the exhibit will be the first of its kind in India and will trace the evolution of the contemporary Indian fashion community. It will feature iconic Western couture and ready-to-wear designs inspired by India from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Moreover, the works of Indian designers like Anita Dongre, Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Tarun Tahiliani and more will also be featured in this exhibit.

These will be complemented by the works of their global counterparts like Christian Dior, Cristóbal Balenciaga, Elsa Schiaparelli and others.

Many Bollywood stars, and national and international celebrities including Zendaya, Tom Holland and Gigi Hadid attended this event.
