American singer, song writer and producer R Kelly has been found guilty of sexual crimes involving children.

A trial that was held in 2008 did not hold R Kelly responsible for any obstruction of justice. Currently, he has been found guilty of 6 out of 13 counts he was originally accused for. This verdict of the 4-week long case in Kelly’s hometown of Chicago just came in and it’s guilty.

The R&B artist was convicted in New York for his crimes regarding sexual trafficking and racketeering in the past year. This charge gave Kelly upto 30 years of jail time, which is now likely to increase in light of the current verdict. The current trial found Kelly guilty of 3 counts of producing child sexual imagery and child pornography, as well as 3 counts of coercing minors into sexual activity.

More than 30 witnesses have testified against him regarding his sexual abuse. Kelly is to still face charges of prostitution, solicitation and sexual abuse in the states of Illinois and Minnesota.
