Table Tennis Star Achanta Sharath Kamal To Receive The Country’s Highest Sporting Honour!

Table tennis legend and Commonwealth Games medalist, Achanta Sharath Kamal will receive the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, the country’s highest sporting honour, from President Draupadi Murmu.

The Dhyan Chand Award for Lifetime Achievement in Sports and Games is given to honour sportspersons who have contributed to sports by their performance, and who continue to contribute to the promotion of sports even after their retirement.

Awardees for the Arjuna Award for outstanding performance in sport include Sakshi Kumari, Lakshya Sen, Bhakti Kulkarni, Sreeja Akula and Vikas Thakur among many others.

The event will take place on November 30 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
