X : Elon’s ‘Everything App’

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors Inc., introduces the Model X car at the company's headquarters Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, in Fremont, Calif. Musk said the Model X sets a new bar for automotive engineering, with unique features like rear falcon-wing doors, which open upward, and a driver's door that opens on approach and closes itself when the driver is inside. Elon Musk is constantly making headlines about his radical political and social opinions, his thirst for innovation, and his drive towards successful businesses.

The letter X has had a significance in his life from the beginning. He wants to build it into an all-encompassing app. Like in China, where We Chat is used by more than a billion people as an all-in-one social media, instant messaging and mobile payment app.

Musk said that his attempt to buy Twitter was a part of accelerating the process of creating X, ‘the everything app’, and “something that would be very useful to the world.”
