India loses Women’s T20 World Cup in the Semi-Final in South Africa!

India fought hard but fell short by just 5 runs against defending champions Australia in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup semi-final!

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s superb 50 was not enough as India’s lower-order could only manage 167 for 8 in their 20 overs, failing to chase Australia’s challenging 173-run target.

Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet had revived India’s chase after losing key batters early, but an unlucky run-out tipped the scales in favor of Australia, who sealed their seventh successive T20 World Cup final.

Australia’s Beth Mooney made 54, and skipper Meg Lanning made an unbeaten 49 off 34 balls to help their team post a challenging 172 for 4.
