In a heartfelt social media post on Thursday, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty revealed that her mother, Sunanda, had undergone surgery. Shetty shared a photo of her mother with her doctor, Rajeev Bhagwat, who had also treated Sushmita Sen after she suffered a heart attack. The actress asked her fans to pray for her mother’s speedy recovery.
She said, “Over the last few days, seeing a parent undergo surgery is never easy for any child. But, if there’s anything I want to emulate from my mom it’s her guts and her fighting spirit.”
She went on to express her gratitude to the staff and the doctors by saying, “A HUGE thank you with a grateful heart, to the doctors and the staff at Nanavati for their relentless support & care. Please do keep Ma in your prayers till she makes a full recovery, my dearest #InstaFam, Prayers work miracles.”
