The End Of Mangalyaan – Our Successful Mission To Mars

Mangalyaan, our Mars orbiter designed to stay afloat for 6 months, made it to 8 years! It made India the 4th nation to make it successfully to Mars.

The spacecraft was equipped with five instruments to study the Martian surface features, mineralogy, morphology and the Martian atmosphere. 8 years later, it has reportedly run out of fuel.

India is planning to launch another mission to Mars in the coming years, which is also likely to be an orbiter.

More power to India’s space program!
