Accolades & Applause!!

Iconic Indian actress Asha Parekh was presented with the Dada Saheb Phalke Award at the 68th National Film Awards ceremony recently.

The President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu and the Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur at the 68th National Film Awards, in New Delhi on September 30, 2022 The Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan is also seen.

This award is the highest honour in the field of #IndianCinema, and was presented to her by the President of India Droupadi Murmu. She was honoured with the said award a day before her 80th birthda

She has starred in over 95 films and is also the first female #Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). She served from 1998-2001. She was also presented with the Padma Shri in 1992.
