Padma Bhushan for Kumar Mangalam Birla & others…

Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, for his contribution to the field of trade and industry.
President Droupadi Murmu conferred the award at the Padma awards ceremony in Delhi.

Kumar Mangalam Birla is the fourth member of his family to receive a Padma award!

Upon receiving the award, Kumar Mangalam Birla expressed his gratitude and said, “To receive this national honour is indeed humbling.” He also thanked the President and the Prime Minister of India for this prestigious honour.

The Aditya Birla Group employees organised a surprise celebration for their chief with a huge cake, fireworks, and banners. He said, “This award is a recognition of the longitudinal impact of the Aditya Birla Group — in enriching lives and in demonstrating through actions that business is a force for good.”

S L Bhyrappa, Deepak Dhar, Vani Jairam, Swami Chinna Jeeyar, Suman Kalyanpur, Kapil Kapoor, Sudha Murty and Kamlesh D Patel are some of the others who received this prestigious award.
