A few days ago, the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, shared a still from the sets of her debut Bollywood film ‘Om Shanti Om’ that was released 15 years ago.
Deepika went from being a model and a local star, to the country’s favorite actress. She has since bagged some of the biggest films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Chhapaak’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ etc. Deepika has also done work for mental health and makes political statements that often go against the dominant narrative.
When Deepika made it to the TIME 100 most influential people, her co-star Vin Diesel gushed about her saying that she was “the best the earth had to offer” and “took her commitment to her work to another level”.
She’s the global ambassador for the biggest of international brands like Cartier and Louis Vuitton. She served on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival in 2022 and has made appearances on the most coveted red carpets across the globe.
Though she is an international star today, she is still considered to be one of the most down-to-earth and hardworking people — ever.
