Modi passes on the baton to Brazil!

In a historic moment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the ceremonial transfer of the G20 presidency, by handing over the gavel to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

President Lula da Silva commended India for championing the interests of emerging economies during its presidency. He congratulated PM Modi and outlined key G20 priorities, including social inclusion, combating hunger, transitioning to sustainable energy, and fostering sustainable development.

Additionally, Lula da Silva highlighted the need for new developing countries to have representation as permanent and non-permanent members in the UN Security Council.
