Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd, Nyrika Holkar is driving her family’s legacy forward with a strategic vision and collaborative approach.

A fourth-generation member of the Godrej family – daughter of Smita Crishna and niece of Jamshyd Godrej – Nyrika Holkar has been exposed to the intricacies of running a large, multifaceted organization from an early age. However, this dynamo has carved her own path, working her way up and standing tall on her own merit. Now, as Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd (G&B), she is poised to continue the rich legacy of business excellence that many have come to associate with the Godrej name.
Taking The Reins
Nyrika currently leads Digital Strategy, Brand, Legal and M&A for G&B and its subsidiaries. She has been instrumental in driving strategic initiatives to transform the company’s operations and ensure its sustainability. Her leadership style is characterised by a focus on innovation, ethical practices, and a commitment to creating long-term value.
Under her leadership, G&B has made significant strides in sustainability and innovation. She has steered the company towards adopting green technologies and processes, ensuring that G&B remains at the forefront of environmental stewardship. In addition, she has fostered a culture that encourages creativity and the pursuit of new ideas, driving the development of cutting-edge products and solutions.
As a member of the G&B board of directors, Nyrika is also involved with key decisions related to business strategy, talent management and corporate governance. She has helped significantly reduce the G&B Group’s financial exposure by streamlining the negotiation and contract management process through an end-to-end digitised contract life cycle management platform.
Making A Difference
Empowering people, especially women, is something she believes in wholeheartedly, as well as in using her position to be influential in a meaningful way. And that starts with empowering and encouraging the women at G&B to the best of her ability. As she said in an interview, “Women do have different priorities and at the end of the day at home, the buck does stop with them. My priority is to introduce mechanisms so that women in junior roles stay and eventually take up leadership roles.”
Nyrika is also actively involved in G&B’s community development efforts including education, skilling and the preservation and protection of Mumbai’s mangroves.
